Offering exceptional beauty solutions to the Irish market since 1989, SPI was founded by husband and wife team Denis Hedderman and his wife Cathy Parker.

 

In 1983, Cathy Parker set up a successful nail salon business and independently pioneered the Irish nail business by establishing Irelands first Nail Training Institute.

By 1989 her success, coupled by the demand for nails, led her and her husband Denis Hedderman into the distribution business when they set up Star Products International.

 

 

SPI has grown from strength to strength & has expanded its core activities to include training and distribution of premium quality nail, tanning, beauty products and equipment.

 

Having evaluated skincare products from around the globe Denis & Cathy returned to France as it is the home of skincare and the origin of the most famous global beauty brands. Their search led them to Matis and in 1994 SPI became the Irish agent for the prestigious, multi-award winning French Skincare label, adding its Luxurious Spa range MatiSpa in 2004.  

 

SPI are the company that started the spray tan revolution with the introduction of SunFX from Australia in 2003. As the leading supplier in the Spray tanning industry in Ireland and SPI distribute SunFX in the UK & Poland.

 

Other Brands in the SPI Portfolio include Cuccio Manicure & Pedicure Systems for the Natural Nail and Star Nails. SPI also offer a number of complimentary lines ranging from Beauty Furniture, Equipment and Wax systems and continue to offer a comprehensive range of Nail Training Courses in conjunction with its very popular Spray Tan Training Course.

We also provide internationally recognised training programmes in Matis Product and Treatment knowledge for both Skincare and Body care Lines as well as a variety of Service Skills workshops. We have also introduced a Spray Tanning Course & most recently an Eye Lash Training Course.
